Carlo Ancelotti is under fire at Milan. His Rossoneri side missed out on Champions League football last season and are eight points behind their city rivals Inter in the Scudetto race.

Recent reports may have linked Ancelotti with a move to Chelsea, however, Mediaset journalist Nando Sanvito believes that the current Milan coach could be moving towards Spain instead.

"Ancelotti has a contract until 2010 but the time is right for another adventure,” he told Ilsussidiario.net. “[Manager Rafael] Benitez will renew [his contract] with Liverpool and this leaves the next Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez, with just one man to focus on: Carlo Ancelotti.

"It's no secret that [Milan vice president Adriano] Galliani was in contact with Frank Rijkaard in August. There is now an attempted coup by [Chelsea owner Roman] Abramovich for Guus Hiddink, who could be there until June, although they [Chelsea] could try for Ancelotti then."

It remains to be seen if Ancelotti will indeed move to one of these clubs in the near future or if this is purely an elaborate hypothesis.
