I Do Not Want To Leave Real Madrid - Huntelaar
The Dutch striker has denied saying that he wants to leave the Spanish capital...
Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has categorically denied rumours from earlier today that he wants to leave Real Madrid.
AS reported earlier that the striker had told friends that he wants to leave the Spanish capital, due to the fact he was not playing in the league or the Champions League.
However, after his agent denied the reports, the player himself has released an official message on his website to say he wants to stay with the defending Primera Division champions.
"It [the suggestion that I want move to a different club] is strange, because I have not spoken with anybody. I do not want to leave Madrid," he declared.
"I am a Real Madrid player and I will remain one. My objective is to win titles with this great club and I am not thinking about leaving it.
"I have to be patient and to hope for an opportunity, even though it will be difficult."
Huntelaar has certainly found it tough with the Spanish side since arriving from Ajax last year, with the Dutchman yet to find the net for his new club.
He admitted that he does want to play more, but he realises that it will be hard to dislodge the likes of Raul in the starting eleven.
"I expect to play more, obviously I cannot be happy with just playing for a quarter of an hour," he mused.
"Ultimately, the team is playing well and Raul is a Madrid icon, so getting in the eleven is hard."
