請Bryan Robson代住Kinnear?
The Daily Express is reporting this morning that Newcastle United maymove for Bryan Robson as a short term appointment until Kinnear is fitagain, following Joe’s heart bypass surgery.
Bryan Robson - may be tapped up by Ashley
Robson is the former England captain and manager at Middlesbrough, although he has struggled to make his mark in football management, after having a great career ass a player.
It seems sensible that Mike Ashley have somebody lined up just incase the Newcastle duo of Hughton and Calderwood cannot get the jobdone in the remaining 13 games of the season.
The two Newcastle coaches will probably be in charge of the gameagainst Everton on 22nd September, and anything but a loss will seethem continue in their role, in all probability.
Bryan grew up as a Newcastle fan having been born in close by Chester-le-Street in January, 1957.
A Newcastle source said today:
“With Joe Kinnear unwell, Mike Ashley is looking at alternative arrangements and Robson is the leading contender.”
Not surprisingly, acquaintances say he would jump at the chance to manage Newcastle, even on a short term basis.
That’s probably because like Joe Kinnear, it would be a goodopportunity to be in the spotlight, and do well, and which local ladwouldn’t like to manage Newcastle United?
Bryan started his playing career at WBA in 1974, when he was just17, before moving to Manchester United in 1981. Here’s another exampleof a local lad, who got away and became a great player.
He played over 500 times for the Red Devils, and also played 90times for England with 26 goals, and was England’s captain in the 1990World Cup when England reached the semi-final under management great,Sir Bobby Robson.
Both Robsons were local lads, and manager and captain of England at that time.
You can never accuse Bryan of being part of the cockney mafia, and he certainly has the right accent, which isn’t cockney.
