Juventus Keeping A Close Eye On Huntelaar’s Real Madrid Future

As reports and rumours continue to circulate regarding Klaas’ Los Blancos future, Serie A giants, Juventus, could be set to pounce for his signature.

Immediately after news broke yesterday that Dutch striker, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar was allegedly contemplating exiting Real Madrid, the player himself and his agent wasted little time in issuing statements of their own dismissing those suggestions.

The 25-year-old hit-man said on his own website that he wants to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu and win titles with Los Blancos, while his representative, Arnold Oosterveer, reasoned that it’s only logical for controversy to be stirred up when a footballer does not see regular playing time.

Despite those declarations, Spanish sports daily, AS, who broke the original story, is still adamant that the ex-Ajax Amsterdam star has no future with the 31-time La Liga champions.

The paper have pounced on a story on Italian website, calciomercato.com which speculated that Juventus sporting director, Alessio Secco, is following Huntelaar’s situation closely and the club could even take advantage of the player’s desperation to leave by making a swoop this June to negotiate a bargain price with Madrid.

The website even went as far as to claim that Juve would be willing to offer the Dutchman a salary package of €3.5 million net per season.

Mediaset, the company owned and run by the Silvio Berlusconi family, boomed: “Huntelaar-Madrid: Finished History”, while Italian newspaper, La Gazetta dello Sport also dedicated a section to Huntelaar’s plight, albeit less sympathetically.

“Huntelaar lives in chaos in Madrid. He is his own victim because of the goalscoring chances he’s missed, his unconvincing performances and because of the club’s administrative incompetence”.

This latest transfer fiasco has sent the Madrid boardroom into a tailspin. It is believed that the club will summon the player to the office once he returns from international duty with the Netherlands to meet with the sports directors.

A similar measure is also expected to be taken with Los Blancos coach, Juande Ramos, in an attempt to get the trainer to have a few words of encouragement with the beleaguered player.
